This facility combines 24/7 emergency and urgent care as well as primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and urogynecology. It is one of several neighborhood health centers that Centura Health is bringing to communities to offer a convenient one-stop shop for healthcare services. As part of that goal, it also features full service imaging, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, bone density, and 3D mammography.

The project involved remodeling an existing mid-1990’s bank building and designing an addition that tripled the square footage of the facility. The design approach was to adopt the cues and materiality from the existing building and build on that while integrating Centura design standards, which resulted in a seamless, harmonious building aesthetic. The 13-exam/treatment room ED with 24/7 supporting lab and imaging is housed on the first floor, while the second and third floors are occupied by the outpatient clinics. The ED was designed for maximum visibility from the open nurse station core into the treatment rooms, aided by partial height walls and glass. The clinics were designed around the collaborative care concept, with open care team pods located in the back.
