Kellen saw the appeal of a career in architecture to be solving problems and seeing raw design become a reality. With an interest in building technology, problem solving, process management, and sustainable design, he is motivated to work on healthcare projects because of the positive impact it has on patients, staff and their environments. A stickler for constructability, he is happiest when designs translate into the field seamlessly, as it is a sign of a skilled designer. His recent portfolio, comprising, of residential treatment centers, substance abuse treatment, eating disorder treatment, and wellness centers, has aligned with his personal design interest in behavioral health and wellness.
