The goal of this project was to increase the hospital’s invasive cardiology, interventional radiology, pre/post operative capabilities, and conferencing space, and to update the main lobby. This involved a new one-level horizontal expansion and a two-level vertical expansion directly above the existing ED. The vertical expansion houses a new 18-bed PACU for invasive cardiology and surgery.

​​​​​​​A vacated ICU was renovated for the construction of a new cath lab and one hybrid suite, and existing PACU and pre-op areas were repurposed to become pre-op and stage II recovery areas. The existing main lobby area containing the gift shop, chapel, registration, and admitting were updated aesthetically and functionally.
