This 8,466 s.f. clinic tenant improvement brings comprehensive healthcare services to members of the Long Beach LGBTQ+ community, with a focus on preventative care, behavioral health services, food services, and STI testing and treatment.

As this was the first project in Southern California to fully implement CommonSpirit’s new visual brand standards, the BA team worked diligently with the client and consultants to ensure proper utilization of the standards within the project scope, which includes a reception and waiting area, exam rooms, consult rooms, and staff workspaces.

The implementation of these new standards—as well as designing an OSHPD 3 project in an existing building without access to as-built drawings and working with the stringent mechanical requirements of the City of Long Beach—required an increased level of collaboration between the design team and the client’s Project Manager. The successful delivery of this clinic paves the way for future projects utilizing CommonSpirit’s standards.
